Model 241 020 Bonanza Garmin 396 Mount

We have recently started making a Beech-specific mount for Garmin's 296 GPS and 396 GPS / XM weather unit. Because of the modular nature of our yoke arm design, this is recognizably similar to our Ipaq mount and uses many of the same components.

The pictures above show an approximately pilot's eye view of the Garmin while the photo below shows what it looks like from the panel side. We would like to bring to your attention how:

• our mount is designed to be visually unobtrusive (translation: you can't hardly see it from the left seat)
• it fits with absolutely no modifications to your airplane
• a custom-designed clip firmly attaches the mount to the inspection hole in the back of your yoke
• the 90° arm permits easy adjustment for angle and tilt

For practicality, we have based this design around Garmin's cradle that comes in the box with the GPS unit. Our view was, there is no point trying to reinvent the wheel. Our purpose in life is to attach the best of what Garmin do nicely to your Beechcraft. The design ensures it's easy to fit and, once fitted, absolutely stable. We have hundreds of completely trouble-free flight hours with this mount: it stays where it's put, does not move in turbulence and is strong enough that you can operate your GPS with one hand.
