Beechcraft Behind-The-Yoke Garmin 296 / 396 Mount

We try hard to respond to our customer's comments and ideas. To be honest, this product came out of a suggestion that surprised us: make a mount that puts the GPS directly between the yoke and panel.

Here's the pilot's view. Even though it offsets the screen, we put the GPS in the middle so that you can see the buttons.

Taking the same photo from a slightly different angle shows the design's compact proportions. Your GPS is mounted as close as possible behind the yoke for two reasons. One is to keep it clear of the panel when you're at full down elevator on the ground; the other is make it easier to see past when you're at neutral elevator in flight.

Here's a view from the panel side. It shows well how close the GPS is packaged to the yoke arm and the yoke.

We would like to emphasize there is a good chance a Garmin on this mount will at least partially obscure the lower instruments on your panel. Whether or how much this happens depends on many factors, such as how your panel is laid out and how tall you are. Please understand the considerations before you decide to buy this mount.

Like our other Beech mounts, this fits fine on single or dual yokes and fitting it requires no modifications whatsoever to your airplane. It clamps to the inspection hole that's already there on the back of your yoke arm. The main pieces are CNC machined from 6061T6 aluminum alloy with gold alodine finish. All hardware is stainless steel and the tools to assemble and fit it come in the box.
