Model 241 021 Baron Garmin 2 / 3 / 496 Mount

Following many requests and a number of prototypes, we now offer a version of our Beech Garmin mount designed specifically to fit Beechcraft Barons.

We hope the pictures on this page will give a clear idea of how the Baron mount is arranged. Please click on any of the photos for a larger view.

The photo above is an approximately pilot's eye view of what you get. Our mount puts your Garmin under your throttle quadrant housing. It's low enough to be clear of your propeller levers, even when they're pulled all the way back to the Feather position.

Here's a view from a different angle. Please excuse our using a Bonanza yoke arm for the photos - they're identical to Baron arms except for the aileron trim.

This is what you would see if you were to look down through your windscreen. A special clamp fits securely into the inspection hole that's already there on the back of your yoke arm. The arm's ends are mutually perpendicular making it easy to adjust your GPS in two planes for angle and tilt. Typically it takes only a couple of tries to get it set exactly how you like. Once set it stays there and will not shift in turbulence. It's rigid and stable and you can operate your GPS with one hand - you do not need to support it to be able to press the buttons.

These mounts work equally well on single or dual yokes. They register in and clamp to the inspection hole that's already there in the back of your yoke. Fitting one requires absolutely no modification to any part of your airplane.

We ship our mounts disassembled because they pack better that way. In the box you get the parts, stainless steel hardware, the three allen keys you need to put it together, some Installation Notes and an Exploded View. They take maybe 10 minutes to assemble and fit.
